Camps Farthest Out!
Christians retreats and events where people experience Kingdom Living in an atmosphere of God's love and where we are trained and taught how to be athletes of the Spirit.
Founded by the late Dr. Glenn Clark, a layman, educator and great man of prayer and faith. He envisioned groups of people meeting together for several days at a time to come into balance spiritually, mentally and physically. The heart of coming together is the practice of prayer taught by Jesus Christ. CFO is not a church, but the CFO experience expands and intensifies the effectiveness of your personal Christ journey at your home, work and your in church. Our camps are in various locations in North America and countries throughout the world (CFOI). They include lay people and clergy from many churches and denominations. These camps and events have a daily program through which we discover the Kingdom of God more personally and collectively.
Our bond of faith. We take as our source in sooner the leader ship and lordship of Jesus Christ has the highest concept of the character of God, and we belong to him alone. In him we have our power, peace, and plenty. In him we live and move and have our being, Dr. Glenn Clark |
Identity Statement. We are a mosaic community fostering authentic relationships by loving others as Jesus loves us.
Our VisionA world where people live graciously and love unconditionally like Jesus.
Our MissionLeading people in the adventurous pursuit of a transformed life in Jesus.
Our Core ValuesFully submitting ourselves to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, empowered by His Holy Spirit to live by example as He taught, we aspire to the following core principles:
Expectant Listening. Core to our relationship with God is a posture of expectancy, waiting, and knowing He hears us and we, in turn, hear Him. (John 10:27; John 10:1-18; Psalm 5:3)
Redemptive Living. Fully participating in Jesus' redemption of the world through living lives of individual and community transformation. (Colossians 1:19-20)
Authentic Relationships. Keep it real, folks! Valuing and encouraging each other to journey through life in vulnerability and transparency. (1 John 1:7-9; Acts 2:42-47; 1 Samuel 18:1)
Sacrificial Love. Love is self-giving - yielding to others in honor and preference. (Romans 12:9-10; 1 Corinthians 13:4-7; Philippians 2:5-8)
Mosaic Community. The Body of Christ is a tapestry of people who look, act, and think differently while celebrating each other and the Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:12-14)
Courageous Leadership. Inspiring and equipping people to lead and serve in wholeness with integrity and excellence. (2 Timothy 1:7, 13-14; Joshua 1:6-9)
Creative Collaboration. With shared vision, the best in each of us emerges as we create something new, fresh, and life-giving. (Ephesians 4:11-13; Genesis 1:1-2; Exodus 35:10, 31-33)
Cruciformity. The beautiful paradox that through surrendering self and laying down privilege, we participate in the strength and resurrection power of Christ. (Matthew 16:24; Galatians 2:20, 5:6; 2 Corinthians 4:7-12; Mark 8:34)
Statement of Faith. We believe in God, who is three-in-one: God, the Father, creator and sustainer of all; His one and only divine Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, whose death on the cross achieved the forgiveness of sin for those who receive and believe in Him, whose bodily resurrection is a sign and hope for our eternal life and whose personal, visible return to earth will bring in His righteous and glorious reign; the person of the Holy Spirit, who is our guide and comforter, indwelling all believers, equipping them with gifts for service and witness.
